As an online personal trainer, the most important thing is your clients. Without them, you have no business, no revenue, and nothing to do. Getting and keeping clients is the most crucial thing in running a successful online fitness business, but it’s also the most challenging part, at least for most online coaches.

1 . Start local

Everyone has to start somewhere, and you might as well make it as easy as possible for you to get the first clients. We highly recommend that you start by exploring your local community and network. In your local community and network, you’re probably already a well-known name, and you probably also have an idea of who you should approach and how to approach them.

Even though you can’t rely on your local community and acquaintances forever, it’s an excellent way to get started. Especially since the first clients are always the hardest to get, you can also approach friends and family if you know they might be interested in your service. If you give them some kind of “friends & family discount,” they’ll get cheap coaching, and you’ll get experience and a great start. Win-win.

2. Online presence

The next step is to create your online presence. Since you’re offering your service online, it’s crucial that you also have a strong online presence. Now, there are many ways to get a strong online presence. There’s your own business website (A MUST HAVE), listings, and social media.

First should probably be creating your website, where you display your talents, qualifications, key selling points, prices, etc. Next, make sure to have some kind of contact formula or “Book meeting” button. A potential client should never have to search for a way to contact you!

It’s also a great idea to list your business in different online directories, such as:

If you’re good at showcasing your clients’ success stories on social media and your website, potential clients will not only feel safe and comfortable working with you, but they’ll also feel that they have made a well-informed decision.

Remember to ask all your clients for ratings, so everyone can see how good your services are.

6. Referrals

Happy clients are not only a way to keep a steady revenue; they can also be an excellent way to get even more clients. If your clients are happy with the service and products you’re providing, they’ll have no problem referring you to their network. This is some of the best ways to get clients because it takes very little effort on your part, and the potential clients will already have a very positive mindset about your business.

You can also team up with other health professionals, such as physiotherapists and weight loss surgery clinics, where they’ll recommend you and vice versa.
